Arrival in Thessaloniki via one hour flight from Athens, meet and greet by your English speaking guide in the airport, followed by a direct transfer to the respective hotel by A/C vehicle.

An interactive culinary walk and guided tour of the city and the local food markets, will help you discover the city’s well hidden paths and secrets. Thessaloniki has many local products that it is famous for, but mostly for its food markets. We will browse through them in order to try out local delicacies. Definitely worth trying are the several kinds of sweets, such as "tsoureki", a delicacy which is available plain, or filled with chestnut, orange and chocolate. Bougatsa is Thessaloniki’s favorite power breakfast! It is a pastry pie made of layers of filo filled with a variety of fillings. All the visitors of the city talk about this "golden" bite of crisp handmade leaf, stuffed with fresh cream patisserie. Promising to be a guaranteed gourmet and fun experience, exploring the markets and trying out their local products is definitely the most tasteful way to meet the city!

Wine Tasting in Naoussa
The History of Greek red wine begins in Naoussa! Historic Greek Wineries are situated in Naoussa, one of the most beautiful regions of Macedonia, on the eastern foothills of Mount Vermio. The wineries constitute an important landmark in the evolution of wine, in one of its most important homelands, Macedonia. A guided tour in the production areas, the historical cellars of the Wineries and unique multimedia shows, are the best introduction to the history and philosophy of the area, its companies and Greek wines generally. The history of wine began here, 130 years ago, promoting Greek wine in Greece and abroad, while it has played a leading role in the development of the Greek winemaking ever since. Heli Tour to Meteora

Meteora is one of the largest and most important complexes of Eastern Orthodox  monasteries in Greece and is included on the UNESCO World Heritage. All of these monasteries are perched on high cliffs and accessible by staircases cut into the rock formations. They were created to serve monks and nuns following the teachings of the Greek Orthodox Church. Much of the architecture of these buildings is Athonite in origin. Of the six intact monasteries, the Holy Monastery of St. Stephen and Monastery Roussanou are inhabited by nuns. The six monasteries are built on natural sandstone rock pillars, at the northwestern edge of the Plain of Thessaly.

Options for Nature Lovers!

Trekking at Mount Olympos
Early in the morning you will depart to Olympus. In Greek mythology Olympus was regarded as the «home» of the Twelve Olympian gods of the ancient Greek world. It formed itself after the gods defeated the titans in the Titan War, and soon the palace was inhabited by the gods. It is the setting of many Greek mythical stories. You will start your trekking tour with an experienced climber of the area and hike to one of the various peaks of the mountain. For more active or experienced people the highest top is 2.917m and it is a taught, demanding route that requires stamina. 

Daily Excursion to Lake Kerkini, a Nature’s Miracle
Lake Kerkini in Serres is an artificial reservoir that was created in 1932, and then redeveloped in 1980, on the site of what was previously an extremely extensive marshland. The coastal vegetation of riparian forests with wild willows, floating lily pads in an area of thousands of acres, great fish variety, buffaloes that swim in the serene lake waters, and the wonderful horizon formed by the mountains of mount Belles and Krousion, make this land extremely attractive. You will enjoy a nice coffee before riding your bicycle and cycle to Mandraki the place you will reach to take your canoe for a tour around the lake. You will admire the large concentrations of Flamingo, Cormorant and Pelicans and with the guidance of proficient men you will discover the flora and fauna of the area. After the canoe tour, you will enjoy a 4x4 jeep tour to reach the monastery of John the Baptist, and you will hike to the small pond above the monastery, where you will be able to admire the view of the delta of Strymon. There you will taste local gourmet products of the area and enjoy the silence!
