Sailing Around Argo - Saronic Gulf

Sailing brings you back to fundamentals. Spending time on a boat seems to bring out the best in human nature. Living and working together we talk a lot, laugh a lot, put the world to rights and learn more than we expect. Nature is more powerful than us. We harness its forces to our best ability and it can be a wild exhilarating ride. Then there are quiet moments that etch themselves into our memory, where seas and skies provide moments of pure beauty. Sailing is a nice way exploring the Greek sea, sun and landscape.

It was also the town where the first pharmacy was opened, the first military school was founded and the first Governor of Greece, Ioannis Kapodistrias, was murdered. Over the centuries, the different occupying forces, such as the Venetians and the Ottomans, have left their marks through the architecture and the culture in Nafplio, giving it the unique and cosmopolitan atmosphere it has today. You can spend hours between the ancient castles that boast riveting legends to the many museums that paint a clear picture of the architectural, historical and cultural stories that Nafplio is founded upon. You also may simply stroll through the quaint streets of the old town, surrounded by bougainvillea and lined with restaurants and shops.

Wine Tasting in Nemea
The region was first put on the map for its winemaking by Homer, who called it Ampeloessa - “full of vines”. Today the appellation of Nemea is the most important red wine AOC of southern Greece and arguably of all Greece.
