In the Footsteps of St Paul

This package features a Biblical journey inspired by the route of St. Paul in ancient Greece, including places where St.Paul passed his days preaching and unique sites of archaeological and religious interest, such as Mycenae and the famous Epidaurus Theater, Meteora monasteries and the Cave of Apocalypse on the island of Patmos. Experience the mainland’s diverse and majestic natural environment, traditional villages, incredible landscapes, and vibrant cities. Then continue with a cruise to some of the most beautiful Greek islands, including the cosmopolitan white-washed island of Mykonos, the sacred island of Patmos, the medieval time-travelling island of Rhodes, the traditional and jovial island of Crete, the helplessly beautiful crescent shaped island of Santorini, as well as the oriental coastal resort of Kusadasi.

DAY 01, Athens 
On arrival you will be met by our assistant and transferred to your hotel by your private vehicle. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 02, Athens / Corinth 
Leave Athens and drive south-west to the Corinth Canal. Drive on and visit the Ancient Town of Corinth where St.Paul lived and preached for two years. Visit the remains of the city, the Agora and Apollo's Temple. A short stop at the Site of the Ancient port of Kehries and then return to Athens. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 03, Athens / Olympia 
Early in the morning, departure for a 4 days classical tour. Today visit ancient Mycenae and Epidaurus theater, famous for its acoustics. After a short stop at Nafplion, drive on to Mycenae and visit the Archaeological site and the tomb of Agamemnon. Then depart for Olympia through the central Peloponnesus and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Overnight in Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games.

DAY 04, Olympia / Delphi 
In the morning visit the sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the ancient stadium and the archaeological museum. Drive on through the plains of Ilia and Achaia and over the magnificent cable stayed bridge of Rio-Antirio. Arrive in Delphi, overnight.

DAY 05, Delphi / Kalambaka 
In the morning visit the archaeological site and the museum. Depart for Kalambaka, a small town situated at the foot of the astonishing rock formations of Meteora. Overnight in Kalambaka.

DAY 06, Kalambaka / Athens 
Visit Meteora. Amidst striking scenery, perched on huge rocks which seem to be suspended in mid-air, stand ageless monasteries where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. Return to Athens for overnight stay.

DAY 07, Athens
Free day in Athens for shopping, strolling through the city discovering its hidden charms or choosing from our optional sightseeing tours.

DAY 08,  Athens 
After breakfast we meet you at your hotel or close by, in order to start the morning half day Athens sightseeing tour. This tour gives you an opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city.
Our expert guides will take you to see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896 (short stop). 

Continue and pass by the Prime Minister's residence (ex Royal Palace) guarded by the Euzones in their colorful uniform, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square (Syntagma).
On the Acropolis visit the Architectural Masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally "the harmony between material and spirit", the monument that "puts order in the mind", the Parthenon.

Continue and visit the place where at last the statues found their home and admire the wonders of the classical era: The Acropolis museum.
Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Athens

DAY 09,  Athens / Mykonos 
Morning transfer from your hotel to the port by our mini bus or by your private vehicle to embark on your selected cruise ship. Afternoon arrival in Mykonos.

DAY 10, Kusadasi / Patmos 
First port of call today is the Turkish port of Kusadasi, with an optional tour to Ephesus. Then on to the island of Patmos, famous for the Monastery and the Grotto of St. John.

DAY 11, Rhodes 
Early morning call at the magnificent island of Rhodes, with the famous Acropolis of Lindos.

DAY 12, Heraklion / Santorini 
First port of call today will be the island of Crete with the palace of Knossos and the museum. Then on to the island of Santorini, believed to be the lost continent of Atlantis.

DAY 13,  Athens 
On disembarkation after breakfast, you will be met by your private vehicle and transferred to the airport for your return flight home
